Manager, Major Projects Corporate Interface

General Duties:
Under the direction of the Director, Major Projects and Asset Management, the Manager Major Projects Corporate Interface will lead the development and implementation of change management strategies, action plans, and communication plans for the Major Projects department. As the primary point of contact, you will use strong leadership to manage and optimize interactions between Major Projects and various corporate departments, specifically overseeing the implementation of change initiatives. This position will develop and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels across the business including executives and representatives from corporate departments to determine their needs. You will ensure effective collaboration and alignment by defining associated roles and responsibilities and points of contact for all interfaces in delivering required outcomes. This position is responsible to inform and make day-to-day decisions relating to change management for the Major Project department. Working with corporate groups, the Manager will develop action plans, track them to completion, facilitate effective communication, and negotiate terms as necessary with departments to ensure internal alignment and support to deliver project requirements. The position will steward development of tools and systems required for major projects and links to corporate systems. The Manager will establish processes for reporting, provide recommendations for critical interfaces, and work closely with appropriate sections of the People and Culture team to ensure relevant parties are informed and engaged throughout the change process. The Manager will also identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within or affecting major projects and collaborate and liaise with other departments to optimize workflows, eliminate redundancies, while effecting change and growth.
Qualifications:
The successful incumbent will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, organizational development, or a related field, with 7 – 10 years of relevant experience with complex multi-discipline projects or positions that require effective interaction with a wide variety of business functions within a complex organization. Change management training and/or relevant experience in this area is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Applicants should be self-motivated, proactive, and possess strong understanding of organizational dynamics and corporate structures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required as well as project management and decision making skills.
