­The School:

Eric G. Lambert School is a K-12 private school of 138 students and 19 teaching units. It is operated by NLHydro – Churchill Falls and follows the prescribed curriculum of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education.

­The Position:

We have an opening for a High School Math and Physics as well as Grade 7 Science teacher starting in May 2024. You will subscribe to a "students first" philosophy in your practice and believe that collaboration with colleagues and communication with parents are important to student success.

­Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Education – (Secondary) with Math and Physics Methods. Experience teaching at both the junior and senior high level in Math and Physics will be an asset.
    • A valid Newfoundland and Labrador Teaching Certificate or eligibility to receive a Newfoundland and Labrador Teaching Certificate (minimum Certificate V preferred)
    • Dedication to the development of the whole student & willingness to go above and beyond to meet students’ requirements
    • Willingness to be involved in engaging and enriching extracurricular activities with EGLS students
    • Other combinations of experience and qualifications may also be considered
