Electrician Apprentice

Location: Various Rural Locations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador – locations include Labrador, Northern Peninsula, Central Newfoundland and Bay D’Espoir.

Key Responsibilities:
Are you interested in an opportunity for a great career start and work in Newfoundland and Labrador? Working alongside our teams at Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, you will get hands on experience working in various locations at our many plants and facilities throughout the province. For the successful candidates, we will establish a plan which will consist of several, rotations in our rural operating areas, which may include any of the following: Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Churchill Falls, Mary’s Harbour, Port Saunders, Stephenville, Exploits, Bishop’s Falls, Bay D’Espoir, Holyrood and Whitbourne.
What You’ll Need:
You have graduated high school, have completed a one-year pre-employment electrical program (block 1) and are registered or eligible to register as an Industrial Electrician Apprentice. Applicants with an interprovincial construction Journeyperson certificate will also be considered.
You have thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess an appropriate valid driver’s license. You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for performing work in an environmentally responsible manner. You are open to feedback, welcome diversity and are able to effectively communicate and work in a dynamic environment.

- A copy of your transcript and certificate from your training institution.
- Confirmation of hours registered and year of apprenticeship (from Apprenticeship and Certification Division or a copy of signed hours from logbook).
- A copy of your Interprovincial Construction certificate, if applicable.
