Electrician Operator

GENERAL DUTIES:
You will operate and perform electrical maintenance on the gas turbine, perform preventative maintenance checks, provide back-up and substitutes for other operating personnel and assist maintenance personnel with gas turbine and terminal station maintenance. You may be required to work at heights up to 130m. You will perform all other duties related to or in association with this classification.
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. You are responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation supplemented by a Journeyperson certification as an Industrial Electrician and five (5) years related experience. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules. You must possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and environmental regulations relating to fuel inventory, fuel reconciliation and fuel spill reporting would be beneficial. Completion of training in WHIMS, Emergency First Aid, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Environmental Awareness, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest would be an asset.
