Plant Security

Status: Permanent
Location:­ Bay D’Espoir
­
You will monitor and control the movement of people and materials into and out of site, recording entry and departure times.­ You will also perform regular patrols and inspections of Hydro powerhouses and structures to ensure that all buildings and equipment are secure from theft and safe from fire hazards.­ You will respond to fire alarms and assist in dealing with fires, cleaning respirators, charging fire extinguishers and SCBA.
­
You will also be responsible to perform atmospheric environment services, record water elevation readings and maintain a record of the same.­ You will act as first responder to the Plant Emergency Organizations and administers First Aid and CPR, and all other duties related to or associated with this classification.
­
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program.­ You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
­
You have graduated high school and have one years experience security related work, certified in Standard First Aid with experience in first aid administration.­ ­You must also have knowledge and be able to use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and be familiar with fire fighting techniques.­ You must have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and possess an appropriate valid driver’s license.­
