Senior Supervisor, Energy Marketing Systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop, direct, and supervise Software product requirements,­ commercial Energy Trading products, and other in house developed Marketing systems

  • Actively perform hands-on IT application, system support, and enhancement responsibilities while supervising, guiding, and collaborating with the Software Specialist to share day-to-day workload and deliver Energy Marketing systems support.

  • Design, development and implementation of IT applications to support trading, scheduling, external market interaction, energy accounting, and trade record control.

  • Coordinate with Information Systems and Network Services to initiate and design software upgrades or enhancements required to support marketing activities. Supervise and evaluate the implementation of upgrades and enhancements

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain procedures relating to software, databases, communications, and reports to ensure that reliability, access, and audit chain for the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) System and associated systems is maintained

  • Maintain solid domain competencies in both Information Technology and Energy Marketing

  • Actively participating in the growth of the corporation’s energy portfolio.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in Energy Marketing and familiarity with marketing activities including scheduling, trading, analysis and settlements would be an asset.

  • The highest integrity and the ability to work under very tight timeliness in a high stress and moderate supervision environment.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the corporation.

  • In-depth experience in computer system design, specification, evaluation, selection, implementation, training, and problem investigation.

What You’ll Need:

  • A University Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in computer system design, development, implementation, enhancement, training and support of systems.

  • A minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in computer system design and implementation of applications with a progressive level of responsibility in project management and/or supervisory capacity.
