Administrative Assistant (Temporary/Call In)

Location: Churchill Falls
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative and human resources support for Churchill Falls.
The successful candidate is expected to exercise a high level of confidentiality, personal initiative and judgment in providing administrative support for Senior Management, Communications, Safety Health and Environment, as well as the Human Resources department. You will backfill for the Safety, Health and Environment Assistant and Executive Assistant when required on a call in basis. You will perform clerical duties such as data/spreadsheet entry, scanning and filing documents and records, organizing meetings and coordinating timesheet preparation, attend and record meeting minutes, provide support in preparing/coding PO’s, invoices and expense forms, preparing presentations with graphic tools/software, and other technical tasks. You will assist with the administration of personnel activities for Churchill Falls employees and coordinate travel to and from site, which may include business, medical, training, employee programs, and managing the Corporate fixed wing schedule. You will issue required flight tickets, check invoices, and verify billing for monthly reporting. You will communicate and interface with employees, dependents and the general public and handle a variety of confidential and sensitive information related to employee files and benefits, as well as other duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
Job Requirements:
You will have graduated from a two (2) year Office Administration program and ideally, have a minimum of two (2) years recent experience. You must be highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in the Human Resources field is an asset. A combination of comparable education and experience may be considered.
