Utility Worker

Status: Temporary
Location:­ Churchill Falls

Responsibilities:
In this role you will operate, service and make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, i.e. chain saws, brush cutters, lawn mowers, steam jenny, jackhammers, motorized snakes, sanders/grinders.­ You will perform cleaning, landscaping, loading and off-loading, industrial painting, garbage removal, snow removal and assist trade workers. You will perform asbestos abatement and erect scaffolding and complete all other duties as assigned.
­
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program.­ You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
­
Job Requirements:
You will have High School graduation or equivalency and capable of performing labour type tasks.­ You will have completed a certified scaffolding course, Fall Protection course, confined space course, and elevated work platform and aerial bucket training. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all job related safety and operating regulations and must possess a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
