Industrial Electrician or Apprentice

Location: Churchill Falls
Responsibilities:
In this role you will perform troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, service, installation and modifications on all plant equipment, town site, switchyard, control structures and all other Corporate facilities and equipment. All other duties as assigned.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
Job Requirements:
Journeyperson Certificate as an Industrial Electrician, preferably through an Apprenticeship Program. One (1) year experience in electrical maintenance following certification or have successfully completed the Corporation’s Electrical Apprenticeship Program. Shall have a thorough knowledge of all trade related safety and operating regulations. Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's licence.
Or
9-month pre-employment electrical course and must be registered as an Industrial Electrical Apprentice. The Company will seek candidates based on their Apprenticeship Level with preference being to hire those most advanced in the program. Temporary Apprentice Industrial Electricians will be responsible to provide the Company with proof of their progress through the Industrial Electrician Plan of Training to verify their entry point on the scale and for each progression thereafter.
