Long Term Asset Planner, Fleet & Equipment

Work Location: Churchill Falls preferably, however, may consider Muskrat Falls or Soldiers Pond

Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for the long term planning of the company Fleet and Special Equipment infrastructure including light equipment, heavy equipment, specialized safety vehicular assets and special tools within the established Asset Management Framework, ensuring that all aspects of long term asset and critical spares planning is comprehensive, exhaustive and appropriately identified within the Power Supply long Term Plan for this asset grouping.­

Works closely with Operations Support Engineering, Operations, and Work Execution teams and engages consultants where necessary to meet the objective of preparation of the long term plan.­ Works closely with Investment Evaluation to ensure appropriate long term financial planning is sound.­ Builds the long-term asset maintenance strategy and plan to meet technical standards for performance and reliability based upon known asset condition and maintenance.­ Leads the development and implementation of the comprehensive maintenance programs for all diesel generators and all light and heavy equipment, and other fleet and special tools.­

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have an Engineering Bachelors Degree or Engineering Technology Diploma and demonstrated ability in the area of multi-disciplined, multi-faceted project management or maintenance management.­ Engineering programs of study must be recognised by Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.­­ A minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in the field in the electric utility, heavy industrial and/or oil & gas industry with at least five (5) years of experience in asset management.­ Shall have a high degree of demonstrated technical knowledge for the assets assigned.
