Senior Manager – Asset Management and Reliability

As Senior Manager of Asset Management and Reliability you will report to the Director, Utility Performance, and will be responsible for leading the improvement in the organizational maturity and delivery of Hydro’s corporate Asset Management System (“AMS”), and the supporting corporate Computerized Maintenance Management System (“CMMS”). This role will work with the Executive and senior leadership teams throughout Hydro to successfully deliver measurable improvement in maturity within the organization and their particular area of responsibility.­­
­
The incumbent will establish strategies, frameworks and processes, which govern the implementation, and execution and improvement of the corporate AMS and CMMS. This role will lead the development, implementation, management and optimization of the AMS and CMMS including the deployment of enabling technology that support the AMS and CMMS processes.
­
Other responsibilities include:
  • Proactively and visually lead continual improvement of the Asset Management System (AMS) to provide a more holistic, aligned and integrated system implementation so as to achieve increased optimization of asset value, to better achieve external stakeholders expectations and to achieve better optimization ­of performance, risk and cost;
  • Support and provide general direction and guidance to the Work Management and Execution Improvement initiative team;
  • Interact with other corporate business system leaders ­to ensure the AMS and the CMMS are effectively integrated with other corporate business systems;
  • Provision of accurate generation, transmission and distribution Reliability Performance information and targets, and associated outage, and reliability performance targets;
  • Provide analysis of outages and disturbances to Hydro's electrical generation and delivery infrastructure, which have an unwanted impact on Hydro customers, to identify remedial actions related to outage and disturbance prevention and duration.
  • Build an effective, flexible team ensuring they have the good skills, knowledge and experience to fulfill their responsibilities.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university, or an equivalent level of education combined with demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in an asset intensive industry. They should have a 10 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience in asset intensive industries in areas such as asset management systems, asset management, operations, maintenance management, quality management, risk management and engineering of which, at least, 5 years of experience directly related to AMS, and CMMS implementation and maturity improvement.­ The person is a strategic, proactive and visible leader, who has a high level of personal initiative.­­ The successful candidate will have strong oral and written communications skills, is a talented coach, embraces change and leads with enthusiasm and expertise, and has a demonstrated commitment to HSE.­ This position requires a valid driver’s license, and the ability and willingness to travel to operational sites, as well as strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/CMMS systems, including PM/PdM and resource planning modules.
