Training Administrator (Term)

We require a motivated and driven individual to join our team as Training Administrator. The ideal candidate is capable of working with very little supervision and is expected to possess strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Reporting to the Team Lead, Integration & Workforce Planning, the Training Administrator will consult and collaborate with the Power Supply supervisors and other staff to identify, plan and coordinate training required to enable Power Supply employees to perform their roles. The Training Administrator will also act as Learning Management System Administrator for the new employee team. When external training is required, the Training Administrator will be expected to identify trainers, obtain quotes, mobilize required on-site resources, and support visiting trainers. The Training Administrator will also be utilized for delivery of field safety training where appropriate. The Training Administrator will be critical in budget preparation, financial reporting and tracking.
The Training Administrator role will be focused on the support of the Power Supply employee group but will also be engaged in efforts to support wider training planning and implementation efforts across the Hydro system as required.
Preference may be given to candidates who can conduct on-site training including but not limited to:
- Defensive Driving Training
- Power Line Hazards Training
- Incident Investigation Training
- Fall Protection Training
- Confined Space Training
Qualifications: - Successful Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree or diploma; or a combination of education and experience in a skilled trade, a training role, or as an educator.
- The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years’ experience in the coordination and/or delivery of training;
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are required;
- Proficiency with Lotus Notes, JD Edwards, Microsoft Office, and Learning Management Systems would be an asset;
- Knowledge of OHS training requirements would be an asset;
- A Class Five (5) Driver’s License is required.
