Instrumentation & Control Technologist (3 Year Term)

Location: Holyrood Thermal Generating Station
­
You will be responsible to carry out instrumentation and control maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on thermal power plant control systems associated with power boilers, turbine generators, emergency power systems and auxiliary equipment. You will also perform maintenance, installation and modification work on data acquisition systems, analytical instrumentation and plant efficiency testing equipment, environmental instrumentation and computerized control equipment. All other duties related to or associated with this classification.

You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
­
You have graduated high school and have successfully completed a two or three year electrical or electronic technology course with instrumentation electives from a recognized technical institute and either have completed the four year training program established by the Corporation or have four years experience as a technician in the discipline. You must have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and possess an appropriate valid driver’s license.
­
