Technologist – Network Services (2 Year Term)

You will be responsible to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, modification, installation and housekeeping of telecommunications equipment and systems. Equipment includes, but is not limited to: microwave radio systems, VHF radio systems, mobile radio equipment, powerline carrier systems, multiplex equipment, telephone line/drop equipment, electronic test equipment, data communications systems, supervisory and control systems, PABX systems, LAN, WAN, fiber optic systems and a wide variety of computer systems and peripheral equipment. All other duties related to or associated with this classification.
­
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and for environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
­
You have graduated high school and have successfully completed a two or three year electronic technology course, with the communications option, from a recognized technical institute and either have completed the four year training program established by the Corporation or have four years experience as a technician in the discipline. You shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules and must possess an appropriate valid driver’s license.
­
