Human Resources Advisor - Talent Management (Leave Replacement) Competition Number: NLH-14-004 Location: St. John’s The successful candidate is expected to exercise a high level of personal initiative and judgment in providing consultation and service delivery to managers and supervisors in all areas of Talent Management. You will focus on recruitment, training and development, performance management and succession planning. You will also be responsible for all Student Engagement programs that relate to workforce planning including the hiring of Graduate Engineers, Cooperative students, Interns and Summer Students. You will be instrumental in ensuring we have the right people in the right places through our interview and selection process. You will also provide overall support for the developmental training budget and learning management system. You will be engaged in best practices to promote talent management ensuring alignment to Nalcor’s business needs. You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner. You have graduated from a recognized University with a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration Degree with specialization in Human Resources or Degree in a relevant social-sciences discipline (i.e. Psychology, Sociology) supplemented with training and experience in Human Resources, supplemented by a minimum of 3-5 year’s experience. You must have strong interpersonal skills, analytical, time management and able to work in a team environment. You should also have well-developed skills in both oral and written communications. You must possess a good working knowledge of computers with appropriate awareness of various corporate applications. Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered. A Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) and/or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation would be considered an asset. CLOSING DATE: February 7, 2014
