Programmer Competition Number: NLH-13-095 Location: St. John’s We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual who enjoys utilizing information technology to enhance business processes. You must enjoy working with people and have a strong focus on delivering business solutions that add value for the corporation. Information Technology is a rapidly changing environment and you must be willing to continuously enhance your technical skills. In this position you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing and documenting new computer software as well as modifying existing software systems. You will work with internal clients on the investigation of system enhancement requests and assist users in the use and application of software. You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner. You must have a university degree or an equivalent combination of education and training, supplemented with 1 – 5 years of experience in computer system design, development, implementation, enhancement, training and support. You must also be able to work as part of a team, show initiative and innovation, as well as the ability to work on their own, with minimal supervision. Programming in a Microsoft environment, Lotus Notes development, web based development, mobile device application development, business intelligence solutions and experience supporting an Oracle JDE World Software system are considered an asset.
